$1M Assured for BlueOval Prep in Tipton County

Congressman David Kustoff (R-TN) secured $1,000,000 to Tipton County for the West Tennessee Regional Utility Infrastructure Project. The funding will be used to plan and develop a comprehensive wastewater infrastructure system to support existing and future growth in the Blue Oval City impacted region.

“We are thrilled that Ford Motor Company and SK Innovation chose West Tennessee to produce their next generation vehicles,” said Congressman Kustoff. “The $5.6 billion investment is transformational for West Tennessee, but we must have the proper wastewater utilities in place to accommodate the future growth. I am pleased to provide this funding which will help our region prepare for the economic impact of Blue Oval City.”

This funding was included in the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act that the House of Representatives passed on March 6, 2024.
